Major Project Idea

1.)
The topic of my project will be soccer.
I could interview someone who has been playing soccer for most of their life.
I will take photos of people playing soccer.
The information i will research will be about soccer camps.

2.)
I will make a flier created in InDesign.
I will use a QR code.

3.)
Because a video should show more about the flier.

4.)
I will capture it during a soccer game while the game is on.

Front Pages of the World

1. Newsday
This newspaper front page is my favorite because i like the fact that its talking about how students refuse to take state exams
2.
3. Long Island, New York
4. "Thousands of LI students opt out as state exams begin"
Something that interests me from this news paper is why students are refusing to take the state exams.
5. 3
6. Their main story's headline is always the biggest and they don't usually have a lot of stories on the front.
7. The stories are different depending on where the newspaper is from, their headlines and sub headlines are in different kinds of fonts and in different sizes

Best magazine covers of 2013 and the last 40 years

Favorite
This cover of Harper's Bazaar is a photograph of model Jean Shrimpton by photographer Richard Avedon. The cover of Shrimpton peering from behind a bright pink Day-Glo space helmet was designed by Art Directors Ruth Ansel and Bea Feitler. This photograph, with the Harper's Bazaar logo vibrating against it in acid green has been often reproduced as an emblem of the sixties. - See more at: http://www.magazine.org/asme/magazine-cover-contests/asmes-top-40-magazine-covers-last-40-years#sthash.eg7Dn3QC.dpuf

In this magazine cover, the picture is trying to show how fashion has changed. With those bright colors it is very easy to catch peoples attention. I think this magazine cover is trying to show that fashion has changed and a big reason why is because of famous people using big noticeable outfits or things on their head. The lighting is bright which also contributes to catching the costumer's attention.

IOS: 1600
Aperture: 8.0
Shutter Speed: 1/2500

ISO: 3200
Aperture: 10.0
Shutter Speed: 1/2000

1. The best ISO to use for my portraits was 800.
2. My best photo was the one with the ISO of 800.
3. I was some what able to create equivalent exposures to my photos, but it was challenging.
4. Something I learned about this activity that I will apply to my real portrait shoot was how to manage the aperture and the shutter speed to get the perfect photo.

Year in Review: 2013

Best photos of 2013

This was one of my favorite photos because i like how all the colors inside glow. The fireworks show happiness and even though its dark it really captured my attention. The bright colors stand out in this photo and so does the fireworks.

This was one of my favorite photos because the fireworks make the photo look bright, also the photo was really sharp to capture the fireworks' shape. It looks extremely exciting because of the biggest firework in the middle and all the other smaller ones around that one,

This was one of my favorite photos because it just looks like a very happy place. A rule that is shown in this photo is balance because both sides are almost the same. Also there is somewhat of simplicity in this photo.

Favorites

The best song of 2013 was "Mirrors" by Justin Timberlake. I chose this song because since the first time i heard it on the radio i liked it a lot. Something that attracted me about this song was that it was different. It was the best of 2013 because it was a song that just stood out.

The best movie of 2013 was Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I chose this movie because Catching fire was extremely exciting. Something that attracted me to this choice is how the characters of "Katnis" and "Peta" survive and do the unthinkable together. This was the best movie of 2013 because it showed  a lot of courage and action.

The most important news story of the year was the Boston Marathon bombing. I chose this as my main choice because the news was shocking. What attracted me to this news was that there were many people running the marathon, not even adults and elders, but also small children. This was the most important story of the year because some people lost their lives when they thought they were going to be safe and it was unexpected.

The most important person of 2013 was Jennifer Lawrence. I chose her because she is a very brave and influential person. Something that attracted me to choosing her is that in her movies she is brave and doesn't care what others think of her as long as she knows she's doing the right thing. She is the most important person of 2013 because she is a truthful person and believes in herself.

The biggest sport story of 2013 was a year before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, when brazil made the loudest soccer statement of the year. I chose this because it was huge for soccer history. Something that attracted me to this story was that brazil went their whole nine games without loosing. It was the best of 2013 because they won against the old champions, Spain.

Holiday and hopes for 2014
1. Something that happened over my holiday that i remember is having my hole family over at my house and making food together.
2. A resolution for 2014 would be to pass my all my classes with straight A's.
3. Something i am looking forward to in 2014 is my birthday.
